Consolidated Works
contemporary arts center
In 1998 I conceived and created the Consolidated Works contemporary arts center. I built the team that launched the organization and served as its Executive Director for the first 8 years of its programming.
Through a partnership with property developer Vulcan (Paul G. Allen) we rehabilitated a 32,000 square-foot warehouse space and created theater, cinema, exhibit space, music hall, bar, resource center, two artist-in-residence studios, and offices for six fellow nonprofits.
Delivering Spaces
Consolidated Works (ConWorks) was celebrated by the international press, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, and Art in America Magazine, which called it “Seattle’s most impressive contemporary space in terms of scope and scale.”
